The end of the Ind/Dem Grouping?

The Independence/Democracy grouping had a rough campiagn and lost a few MEPs including their co-leader. But will they exist as a political grouping in the next Parliament? To form a grouping in the European Parliament you need a minimum of 25 MEPs from at least seven member states. After last elections the Ind/Dem were left with 18 MEPs from four member states. They are: UK: 13 UKIP MEPs Greece: 2 Popular Orthodox Rally MEPs Netherlands: 2 Christian Union MEPs...

Conservative Ads

Image via WikipediaThe Conservative Party in the UK have launched a new Advertising campaign on “Labour’s Debt Crisis”. According to the Conservatives Shadow Chancellor each child born in Britain will owe £17,000. I must say it is a fantastic campaign. It really hits the point on UK Debt. (With salutations etc removed!) I joined Fine Gael (The Irish Conservative Party) back in 2004 before I came out in 2005 during...

The Irish Conservative Homosexual Agenda

Since I saw a post over on GayPatriot entitled “The Conservative Homosexual Agenda? ” and a newer post “What is the Gay Conservative Agenda? “, its has been milling around in my head, what about Irish Gay Conservatives? What do we want? I think some of the commentors on the Gaypatriot posts kind of sum it up. *Privacy*Freedom*Recognition of Relationships (note: not Marriage)*No Sodomy Laws (Linked to privacy and freedom)*No Discrimination (Negative or Positive) These 5 principles for me...
